Hola,
Envie una carta a ustedes hace poco. No dice mucho pero era suficiente. Y estoy escribiendo esta carta por que yo se que ustedes no puedan entender lo que yo estoy escribiendo. No voy a decer nada importante.

Hey,
Your lucky that I am sending an e-mail. Usually when I call I have no desire to write because I will talk to you soon. But my companion is still on the computer and I have some time left. So next week I will call around 2-3. I'm not sure exactly what time because we are gong to the bishops home to do it.
When I come home, is everybody going to the airport or just the the family? And do you know when I am going to be released? People are asking me and I don't know what to say, other than "I just hope they don't forget about me."
This up coming Sunday will be my last normal Sunday. It will be the beginning of the Spanish sacrament meeting. Bishop want's me to give a talk in the meeting, he said it because I annoyed him the most about starting the branch. It's been awhile since I have given a talk in sacrament meeting. We are going to start late because their won't be too many people. We are hoping that 25 people show. It will be a great way to end my mission.
I told Elder Scholthies that in week six or my last week that he will be in charge and that he will take the lead. Not that I will be trunky but it will help him take the area and hit the ground running with his new companion. He is a really good Elder. I hope all those that come after me are as good as him. He can speak spanish really well and can understand most of it. Mom I don't know if you remember but a couple of years ago you read in the paper about a family of ten (kids) had their own bluegrass band. Well if you remember Elder Schulthies came from that family. He is the third oldest and the first boy.
Well I can't think of much to say or to tell. Time is going by really fast. I'm excited to come home but very sad to leave the mission. It's bitter sweet, I will miss all that a missionary can do.
I'll talk to you soon.

Hey,
My letter like always might be short. I don't have too much time and their is a line behind me. We are doing them later to save miles so we don't have to travel alot. but any way, I got your letter and the pics. That is really cool how you were able to find the Clarks. When I get back I will have to go to his house.
I was looking at the pictures and notice that my truck was gone!!! their was a big rust spot, so I'm not sure if it moved or it rusted away? Looks like Camille is really old, not in a bad way but she is taller or something. Sarah and Jill still look the same. I can't wait to come home.
We have some great things going on and I think if all goes to plan I can have three more baptism before I come home. The spanish branch will start on mother's day. I wll give a talk and then the following week is stake conferance. I will end my full time mission on a great note. I am really excited for all the blessings that are happening. Well I need to go. I will talk to you next week.

Hey,
This past saturday we had a baptismal service for Perla Tejada and her dad baptized her. It was a spanish service but since bishop asked me to conduct I talked in spanish then I talked in english. Because their was more english members their than spanish. Her dad had to baptize her three times because her had didn't go underwater. By the third time her dad was really nervouse. It was good for Elder Schulthies to have that great expirience his first few weeks. Then on sunday her dad became an elder so he was ok to comfirm her as well. Now we just need to help them get to the temple.
I sent a short e-mail earlier because I saw that you sent one to me. So I answered your questions. I really enjoyed your letter that was in the box. It said that I was a stinker for playing a joke on you. Latter that night (on my birthday) Elder Peterson called to wish me a happy birthday. I told him the story and he started to laugh. I had a good birthday. I just finished a memory card with pictures but I will wait till I get home to show them to you because it's only a few weeks away.
We have some great people that we are teaching. We have a great chance to have at least three more baptism before I come home. We are also going to start a spanish sacrament meeting on the ninth of may. That will be my last full sunday. Im excited to end with such a great note.
Think of some question that you have that I can answer when I call home on mothers day. Such as what I want to do, or what is going to happen. I recived my flieght planes for the 17th of may and I should be in Utah aroud 12:00 to 1:00. Their is twenty elders going home in may. This is a really big group.
Well my time is close to out and I need to go. But I will write next week.

Hey,
Today is my birthday and in a couple of week I will be able to call and talk to you all. I am really excited to talk to you again, but as long as you don't cry (mom). I am also really excited because bishop vanderholm has told us that on the ninth of may we will begin a branch. I really hope all goes to plan and we will be able to start with a big group. We have about ten that come regularly. We also have some great investigators that have potential to being baptized.
We will have a baptism this up coming Saturday if all goes to plan. Her dad was supposed to get the priesthood to be an elder to confirm his daughter, but didn't show up to church. I really hope we can help her get going. We also have another guy on date for the first of may. I really hope that we can help him quite drinking and start being an example to his family.
My new companion is from ceder city Utah. He just came from the MTC. His spanish is very good. He can almost teach a whole lesson by himself. I remember when I first came out I could barly testify. He is really excited to be here which was a relif because having a companion that doesn't want to do any thing is not fun. He likes the opera and can play the piano very well. He came from a family of ten kids. Five grils and five boys. I am excited to serve with him.
Last night we gave away a Thai book of mormon. It was cool but hard, we were helping this guy quite smoking and his wife is a native and she can speak english but not very well. She said she would read it so we will see what happens.
Well my time is up and i need to go but will hear from you soon.

Hey,
I received your Easter box. We really enjoyed the fun treats that we found in side. I read your letter and I relized that my birthday is next monday. You might send something and if you send food just send a lemon cake likeyou did last year. That is my favorit cake. I can't think of too much that I need I will need things when i get home but as for now not much.
You might have heard but not sure so I will tell you any way, Elder Peterson and I are going to be companions!!!!!!! I was so excited to hear that we will be spending my last transfer with him. We promised Pre. Palmer that we would work hard. OK now I need to tell the truth before you scream and cry and call everybody you know. Elder Peterson will NOT be my companion. Sorry if you are already crying or screaming, but I couldn't resist. Pre. Palmer feels that I need to train another new missionary. I don't know if I want to it is a reall trial of patience and love when new missionaries come in. I will go to spokane and pick him up, so I don't know him. I hope he is spanish. If I don't hear from you till I come home I understand. I am also the District leader now for Chelan and Brewster.
Elder Ubeda is going to Moses Lake and is excited. He is a great companion and has a big heart. I really enjoyed serving with him. My last six weeks will go by really quick. But I hope that I can finish strong. I will also call you on mother's day which is a week before I come home so think of questions that you have that I can answer then. Like first day and things that might happen. If you send the questions early I can think about them and tell you when I call.
Sorry but my time ran out I only have a half hour to write, Pre., Ap's, and you. So till next week.
Love Elder Garrett.
