February 2, 2009

Dear Family,
This past week was really slow. We had a hard time finding people home. And we had one investigator in church. His name is Freddy Gomez. He's 21 and Hispanic. He speaks both English and Spanish. He is going to the collage in Moses Lake. He has good standards and is really smart. We'll see how far he goes. Erik Castillo is doing really great. He holds the preisthood and is passing the sacrament. He loves church and being apart of it. This last tuesday we had our interviews with President Clark. He was running behind so interviews were short. I also received Brian and Lisa's letter. The girls drew some good pictures. And Brian wanted to know when he can come out. Technically I can't go on splits because it can distract our "thoughts" from the work. But I bet you could come and get me, when my mission is over. When I came in a missionaries parents were there to pick him up, I bet you could do the same. Being on a mission is hard and stressful. Sunday mornings are hard, becuase we walk back and forth in the halls of the church waiting for our investigators. Then with our meetings we get loaded with more responsibility, it all falls on me because my companion is new to all of this. But I know I will grow and become better because of it. How are all the missionaries in the ward? We are starting week six. It will be the last week of the transfer. This up coming saturday we will get our transfer call. I hope I can stay at least one more transfer in Warden.
Love Elder Garrett
