Dear Family,
This past week was long. It seems it's been 3 weeks since I have talked to you. Than can be good and bad. We did a lot of good this past week. We were able to reach most of our goals.
The Garza family told us that they want to wait till December to get married. I was a little sad, but they have a lot of things they need to take care of first. But Hadi Abbas "the guy from Iraq" is going to be baptized the Saturday. He is almost off coffee. I know he can make it. It will be a great day when he is baptized. I hope Elder Scoggin will baptize him so it gets him off on the right foot.
We have a package slip but when we went by they were closed. So later today we will grab it. don't know if it's from you or it's for Elder Scoggin. At the end of this transfer we will move out oif the Robertson's. It will be sad to leave but we or "I" have been here for awhile. So I might send another box home. So how is the business? What else have you done with the house? Are you still selling? Has the business grown? How is the wedding coming? And will Britney be moving out?
My spanish is getting better. Their are some grammer rules that I still have problems with. But if I came this far in 1 year, I have now worries for this next. Something cool happened yesterday, my companion reveived his patriartical blessing. I didn't sit in, but after Elder Scoggin looked schoked. It was the first time we met him (the partriac) and Elder Scoggin said it felt like he was an eye witness to his childhood. He said it was exactly what he needed to hear. His attityle changed after that. His testimony of the gospel grew. I'm glad I'm his companion an to be here.
I got he box, Thank you for the ties!!!! Also for the camel ( this was his hump day box)
Love Elder Garrett
