We had a good week last week. We were able to teach our investigators and also a lot of less-actives. This upcoming Saturday we will have a baptismal service for Eddy Medrano. He is about 38. Also Hispanic but speaks English. He will be going to the ward. I hope some family and friends come, so maybe we will have some more investigators.
We have a lot of people to visit but finding them home is the hardest thing. Even if we set appointments they tell us to drop in sometime. Which is even harder to find them at a good time. Something cool happened saturday, we were at a trailer park where we have potential investigators. We were walking down the street and we saw that a group of guys were dragging a pig. So we walked over there. They had just killed the pig for a baptism. So while we were there we saw them shave the hair, because they eat the skin. Then they cut it open. It was cool to see how they cleaned, skinned, gutted, and also what parts they kept to eat. (I hope he doesn't get to used to seeing that kind of stuff!! ugh)
It's starting to get warmer, some days we can just wear our suit coat and other days we have our heavy coats and gloves. But Spring is coming soon. I hope by the end of the transfers I will be able to understand more spanish. We teach very few spanish people. I hope my next area will be pure spanish, and if I train again I hope he can't speak English. Because 70% of the work I'm doing in Warden is English. But I have been promised the gift of tounges and much more so I just need to work hard and be obediant.
This upcoming week will be a good week.
