Dear Family,
This past week was a good week. We met a Spanish family. It's the Pepper family, but in Spanish. ( not sure what that meant) W found them tracting, He was baptized in the Assembly of god 2 years ago. So he let us in and we shared the restoration. By the end of the restoration he kind of sat back and said "wow I've never heard that before" (that was also in his letter) So we set up a return appointment. We went back 2 days later and he had his cousin there. We started to teach and his cousin kind of started talking bad about us. That we worship Joseph Smith and don't use the bible, and before we could correct him, Fernando the Dad started to tell his cousin the truth. He was sticking up for us. He basically corrected him. I was surprised that he remembered what we taught. He will be a great member as well as his family.
It's starting to warm up. And it gets dark around 8:30-9:00, so we have more time to find people. Hopefully soon we will be able to take off our suits.
I really like general conference, we went to the church to watch it. Bishop Lybbert, Jay Cox, Erick Castillo and Eddy Medrano were there with us. There were alot of great talks. I like Jeffrey R. Holland talk. It helped me understand and strengthen my testimony about the atonement.
I can't believe my birthday is coming up. It's also weird to be out almost a year. My Spanish is better than I gave myself credit for. Elder Scoggin is bad, but that's how I used to be. But the past two weeks he has gotten better. This next week will be good. Hopefully we will have someone on date. Have a good week and Happy Easter.
Love, Elder Garrett
